Necessary Turbulence was created by an all-volunteer group of Air Force Academy women graduates who carried the trust, authenticity, and vulnerability of 108 women who contributed to the narrative, and for three years shepherded the book from conception through completion.

They shaped the story, established editorial standards, curated the voices, and manifested the work into a single, collective chronicle.
